Dr. Angela Walden

Dr. Angela L. Walden (Cherokee) is an experienced researcher, practitioner, educator, and licensed clinical psychologist. Her work has focused on diversity, equity, inclusion efforts in higher education administration, including increasing representation, inclusion, and belonging of Native Americans, and mental health interventions and supports for marginalized populations and at-risk youth and families. She earned her Ph.D. in clinical and community psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and completed her internship and postdoctoral training at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she also served as faculty and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Diversity Initiatives.
